What does it mean to “heal” the nervous system?

Healing your nervous system means supporting your body to come out of fight, flight or freeze and return to a state of safety and rest.It’s not about doing more. It’s about learning to listen, regulate and gently come back home to yourself.

Try this: Grounding touch


🟢 Try this simple grounding exercise now:

  1. Sit comfortably and place one hand over your heart, and the other over your belly.

  2. Close your eyes and take a slow breath in through your nose.

  3. Exhale gently through your mouth, allowing your body to soften.

  4. Stay here for a few moments, noticing the warmth of your hands.

This kind of self-contact sends a signal of safety to your nervous system a small act, but incredibly powerful.
